I / Profile

Biography

I am a Finnish contemporary dance artist, media educator and doctoral researcher working across artistic practice, interdisciplinary research and educational development.

I am a doctoral researcher in Media Education at the University of Lapland, a freelance artist, and Managing Director of the performing arts company Pohjoinen liike (Northern Movement). Alongside my artistic and academic work, I lead cultural productions, interdisciplinary collaborations and organisational development within the performing arts sector.

Drawing on my background as a dancer, educator, researcher and creative leader, I work with individual and organisational learning, transformation and interdisciplinary artistic creation. Across leadership, facilitation and performance-making, I am interested in how dialogue, embodied practice and reflective inquiry can support meaningful individual and collective change.

My artistic, educational and research work examines how digital systems shape learning, perception, participation, agency and collective life, and how individuals, organisations and communities can navigate technological change critically, ethically and sustainably. I am particularly interested in the relationships between technology, embodiment, institutions and social structures, and in how technological development can support rather than diminish human flourishing.

I also teach university courses in media education, educational technologies and research methods, and facilitate learning across educational, organisational and artistic contexts. My work combines keynotes and lectures with flipped and hybrid learning, feminist leadership, facilitation, movement, breathwork and other embodied practices.
