For generations, we have told two stories about human progress. One is the story of technology – of expanding our ability to communicate, remember and act upon the world. The other is the story of human development – of learning to think, relate to one another and ultimately flourish. The first has transformed the world around us. The second has sought to cultivate the human capacities through which we inhabit it. Today these trajectories can no longer be meaningfully separat
